The Factory Theatre is a purpose‑built music, drama and entertainment venue offering venue hire in Newcastle,
located in Adamstown, featuring a 577‑seat auditorium, bio box, professional lighting grid, in‑house sound
system, and a contemporary recording studio.
Whether you’re planning a live performance, presentation, special event or community
production, we offer a venue that’s audience‑ready — with experienced production support
available to help your event run smoothly.
To ensure the venue, systems, and safety requirements are managed correctly,
a minimum of one (1) production staff member is required
for all hires (additional staff available depending on the size and purpose of your event).

Every event is different, and we can tailor production support and equipment to suit your brief. Labour for events is supplied by LifeLike Group and fees apply; any external equipment used is also charged.

- Additional production staff (lighting / audio / stage support)
- Additional lighting fixtures & effects (beyond the standard package)
- Audio enhancements for specific performance needs
- Recording studio access (where applicable)

Once received, our team will confirm availability and arrange a site meeting to discuss your event requirements, production needs and associated costs.
Site visits:
Site visits are available by appointment only and must be arranged with
our team in advance. Walk‑in visits are not permitted.
Key hire information:
• Public liability insurance (minimum $20 million) is required
• Hirers are responsible for damage and leaving the venue in a clean condition
• Additional requirements apply to events involving children
